• Hi! My name is AaliYah (“aahlee~yah” female version of Ali). As much as I value accuracy, pronunciation is just for information purposes due to uniqueness, anyone mispronouncing or misspelling does not bother me. I think people’s accents and ways of expression add to diversity, and, if someone truly wants to get to know me then that would be shown in how interested they are in listening to the things that come directly from me. 

• I am currently studying criminal justice and psychology at the graduate level. Mastery is a pastime of mine, like gardening, because I like to learn – never feeling like I could learn too much – I have many fields of interest that intersect in interesting ways, and this is a true expression of my personality.

• Pursuing a graduate degree assists me in unifying my complete professional catalog into a total package as I reascend back to my throne. My goal in this class is to keep me fresh in effective written communication and provide me tips with improving my writing to ensure success in my next classes. 

• Truth, genuine intent, the contents of the heart, and being true to oneself are most important to me in addition to reuniting with my family, resuming our family businesses. I aspire to return the world to its healthy, lively, upright state where all are where they belong in Nature, and, professional positions are filled according to natural abilities.

Hi love, thank you. Here I am, the one and only, alive and well. Keep that between us though, there are people after me since my disappearance. Singing is not an interest of priority, I am fine with allowing others to shine - I just didn't know they wanted/needed me to take a break for them to do it. I thought it'd be cute for us all to do it together. But I'm no ball-hog, so I can just do something else, I'm fire at many things. At this time, I am completely focused on love. 

In your studies of Psychology, what are your thoughts on generativity? My immortality, in addition to my other abilities has prompted many enemies. Much envy going around, I think it is due to misplaced love. Generativity is a recent topic for an assignment, and it feels relevant in regards to legacies. Appreciate you rooting for me ❣️

As you continue your research and work on Draft 1 of your trends project, share your research ideas with your classmates and receive their feedback in this discussion. 

Please share your career field and the three trends you are exploring. If you have drafted your introductory paragraph for Draft 1, please share it. The more details you can provide, the more likely you are to receive substantive feedback.

Let your classmates know what questions you have and what guidance you would appreciate about your trends research. Doing so will help your classmates tailor their responses to your interests. Be sure to offer your own ideas and feedback to your classmates in return!

• My career field includes justice, law and order, legal psychology, criminal psychology, forensic psychology, entertainment law, real estate law, business administration, healing, and gaming. 

  • Trend #1: Game Rules and Loyalty. 

    • There are code and ethics in everything from healing patients, to administering justice, to street code, as well as girl code and guy code. I intend to research these types of codes for critical analysis into behavior as it pertains to laws across various industries. Many crimes are committed by known persons rather than random occurrences, and I would like to learn more about the behaviors that cause relationships to take criminal turns.

  • Trend #2: Law and Order in Entertainment. 

    • Some say, “it’s just a movie,” or, “it’s just a tv show,” however, there is a popularization of law and order themed entertainment that may seek to provide illustration for the legal system. I would like to research these sources of entertainment to critically analyze the inspiration behind them, the increasing trends of them, and the genres they are categorized into. Doctors, lawyers, realtors, and many others of various industries are subject to legal systems within the legal system, and the same is true for entertainers, their affiliates, and the vast careers of those tied to them.

  • Trend #3: Ancient World vs. Modern World. 

    • Also in entertainment is an obsessional sensation of mimicking cultures of ancient civilizations prompted by discoveries from anthropologists/geologists/historians/archaeologists studying places such as Egypt. This trend is prevalent in many movies, shows, games, as well as, holidays, marketing and advertising industries, religious ceremonies, etc. History lays the foundation as the past for the present and future. I intend to critically assess the cultural conditions of the state of the world as a result of the legal systems during ancient times in comparison to the practices of today’s legal system to see how criminal justice has evolved into what it currently is.

• Questions that I have: 

  • Why is the legal system not known to every person living in the country it governs? 

    • Why is there confusion between administrators and enforcers to civilians?

    •  Should all not be knowledgeable about the do’s and don’ts of the society they live in?

  • Why do different schools teach different histories? 

    • Should everyone not be on the same page about the timeline of events that created the society and the world all are living in today?

    • What causes this confusion, and why is it normal for the average person to not know who they are, where they came from, and what system they are apart of?

    • Are the cultural creations of today brilliant and impactful enough to one Day become ancient -- meaning would people in the future be so fascinated by the discovery of artifacts, music, etc., of current events to invade buildings in awe of such greatness?

  • What is the reality of improvement versus the illusion of change occurring in society and today’s world?

Hi! This post includes a statement of analysis in the data science and statistic field that may be easily understood even by someone who is new to the field or has no knowledge of it, with a clear sentence introducing the three trends that the paper will discuss. 

What questions do you have? Is the main question posed in this post your question or a general one of the field? This post mentions research with the right publication date since the trends are not old. Maybe the following can be of assistance, if not, kindly disregard.

A trend is the general direction of a thing over time. (Investopedia, 2024). “A general direction in which something is developing or changing.” (New Oxford American Dictionary, 2023). 

Popular trends are coined latest trends that can occur over a short period of time. 

There are uptrends that illustrate and overall increase and downtrends that occur moving at lower occurrences over time (Investopedia, 2024). “A pattern is a series of data that repeats in a recognizable way. Patterns can occur within a downward or upward trend, or they can mark the beginning of a new trend.” (Investopedia, 2024).

In the field of statistics, is referencing and describing charts or graphs helpful as a presentation of the data discussed?

General questions of mine:

• As it pertains to research, is most recent most recognized and respected?

  • Should the newest trend, which is not yet proven past being short-lived, be the immediate focus as opposed to the trend reaching longevity?

• What of the earliest date of research?

  • Is it outdated based on date alone, or is that determined by subject-matter and/or expounding by new findings if applicable?

  • To pinpoint, analyze, or evaluate change in development, is it necessary to begin with the starting point of the data?

• Do you feel that your work could be respected timelessly?

  • If you happen to create something new that no one has done before you, should you always be the main and beginning reference for which those who are inspired by your work credit you for each time it is used?

  • What is to be felt if someone comes after another, inspired by the 1^st to do it, but wishes to receive creator credit because they are current, and the work of the originator is too early to be mentioned?

Hi! This post pinpoints three clear trends in the field of Human Resource Management. The introductory paragraph is well-written and clearly states, “recent years,” establishing the unit of time used for the trends that will be examined for the reader. 

What questions do you have, if any?

The emphasis on impact, for the 1^st trend, prepares the reader for the focus of the models being discussed. Also, for the 2^nd trend regarding employee well-being and mental health, including the component of employee satisfaction especially correlates to the corresponding trend.

Questions of mine:

• What is the relationship of Human Resource Management and Human Capital Management, or are these interchangeable?

• Is corona one of the emerging challenges causing societal changes in this field?

  • If so, how so?

  • If not, what factors are promoting increased remote and hybrid work?

• Do you think these trends are revolutionary, or are they a reactive response for recent years?

• What is the relationship for the general purpose of artificial intelligence and the increase in implementation of artificial intelligence in the workforce of this field?

• What defines skills versus degrees? 

  • What are the pros and cons of each? 

    • What is the value of each?

    • How are each achieved and obtained?

  • Why do you think skills are overtaking degrees? 

    • How will this emerging trend impact career paths?

    • How will this emerging trend impact education institutions?

• How is work-life balance measured? 

  • Is it measured by the areas of wellness, being: physical, cognitive, social, emotional?

  • Is this affected by each employee’s stage in life such as: single workers with no families, working mothers, working fathers, etc?

Trend #3 in particular is explained well for the reader with little to no knowledge in this field as well as the reader with experience. The introductory paragraph begins well with elements that assist the reader with the focus of the paper.

What questions do you have, if any?

Questions of mine:

• Is National Defense broken down into defense of a nation, or is this more for title sake? 

  • If so, if a nation is a country, in contrast to a continent or hemisphere or world, it is, “a people who share common customs, origins, history, and frequent language; a nationality.” (American Heritage Dictionary, 2024., #4). “America” being a melting pot of all people of all cultures, but different origins, history, and languages, what is the area of aim for defense?

  • If in defense of the melting pot, from whom is defense needed for? 

    • If other nations who do not reside physically in the country, would this be defense against selves?

    • How do these trends apply to refugees from other countries? 

      • Is recruitment available for them?

    • Is the focus mainly on the Ukraine as recent reference, or more generally with other wars to be named?

• Is National Defense and National Security interchangeable?

• Insurgency is, “the quality or circumstance of being rebellious; an instance of rebellion; an organized rebellion aimed at overthrowing a constituted government through the use of subversion and armed conflict.” (American Heritage Dictionary, 2024, #1-2, 4). Is defense specifically against other countries, or is it also for in-country conflict such as civil war?

• In what ways is this organization designed to be superheroes for the citizens of the country it is structured for?

• What is being Maneuvered?

• What is the reason for the change needed prompting restructuring? 

  • How effective or ineffective was Counter Insurgency, and in what ways?

  • How effective or ineffective is Peer to Peer or Large Scale Combat Operations, and in what ways is it more applicable currently as opposed to previously?

• Do you think it is wise to decrease educational standards for recruitment in armed forces?

• Is trend #2 Widescale Employment of Commercial Drones involving guerilla warfare or conventional warfare?
